Take 5 minutes, start by lighting a candle and sit in front of a mirror, look at the person looking back at you, your greatest mentor and critic…. Smile with soft compassionate eyes and thank them, from your heart, all those moments that they have brought to you over the years for: |

- When they have provided you with great insights about who you truely are.
- When they have had you connect with reverence to something that touched your heart.
- When they have shown you nuggets of wisdom about yourself.
- When they woke you up and had you take action.
- When they patted you on the back and gave you a metaphoric hug, when you most needed.
- When they showed you glimses of yourself. that had you LOL!
- When they said your beautiful exactly the way you are.
- When they said breathe!
- When they didnt judge you.
- When they said your perfect.
- When they showed you unconditional love.
And honor them back and thank them for, being them, being unique, being beautiful, being perfect, being special, being you.
Being conscious of your stories

We are not our stories. We are the consciousness behind our stories.
In our hectic lives it is simple to get caught up with what we say to ourselves is true, and that we are our experiences and the stories we say to ourselves are us. |
And yet how many times have you caught yourself saying to yourself something, like "I am not good enough", That dream will never happen", "They wont like me", "I am a failure" etc
All these are stories that we tell ourselves, are simply this, stories and also they are made up.
When you hear yourself saying these words inside your head, who is sayin this?
If there is a part of you that is the listener, listening to the part of you telling these stories, who is the story teller? and who is the listener?
The listener is you, your consciousness, you are conscousness.
The stories are like loops, recordings, phrases, repetitive, habits that are like an answer voice mail recording that get triggered when someone rings you or you ring yourself.
"I am sorry I am unable to take your call, Its just you wont want like me anyway"
As soon as the circumstance are meet you are on queue to hit the play button… As consciousness we dont question these recording because we are consciousness, we simply create a new conscious thread that becomes a new story that questions what we are saying to ourselves…
Imagine sitting in a movie cinema, and watching a movie of your self, you sit in silence consciously taking in everything that is depicted in your lifes story while you in your life in the movie are a story of experiences and recordings, oblivious of the person sitting taking in the acting and story.
Take time to notice when you hear those stories in your head, those repetitive recordings that you play, when someone metaphorically phones you or triggers your voice mail recording.
And notice that in the moment you are only consciousness.
How does a Doughnut Shape our Reality?

We may have got this whole matter/anti-matter thing turned upside down with our negative nemesis connetation of matter and its rival anti version. What if we looked for a natural flow in the creation of the universe in the 4th dimension (space/time) we may come up with an alternative suggestion to the creation of matter versus our projected view on science and our reality. |

The question is versus anti-matter being the antithesis of matter, what if anti-matter is matter in a different state, more specifically matter in a future state before it coalesces into its cohesive flatland form?
After all in the 4th Dimension there isn't a future state just is… In the 4th Dimension particles are continual coalescing as consciousness is placed on the state of the particle, bringing into possibility into our current reality.
Here is why I think we need to rethink the whole nemesis of matter.
I believe our experience of reality is a byproduct of the relationship and coalescence between matter & anti-matter the state in which is called the quantum foam…
I like to think of anti-matter as actually holo-matter a holographic enfolded blue print of matter versus its matter brother which is an unfolded version, almost like an object in computer code that gets instantiated.
With consciousness being placed on any number of possible outcomes it creates one of zillion possible outcomes from its probability state, each possible state is an alternative reality an alternative universes, from the multi-verse..
Matter coalesce's into our state of reality and bob's your uncle…we get to surf the Quantum Foam in our limited 3rd dimensionality.
Food for thought? Mine's a Taurus shaped, sugar coated, soft doughy thing!
A question you might have is what does this have to do with our personal development and leadership..
Well simply put our ability to continually test what we believe in as our reality, our perceptions and our awareness enables us to build greater awareness, sometimes we have to test even what it means to perceive reality to move to develop greater leadership versus being ingrained in old out dated beliefs, after all a belief is just a belief!
An Identity shift is the key to unlocking those stuck states.

As you probably know Einstein stated a problem cannot be solved from the same level of thinking as the problem was created… Easy to resolve then? A first assumption is that this must be either a multi-perspectives exercise or a shift in conscious awareness, yes that's true and what is required to create those shifts, is a shift in identity that enables you to make a conscious awareness shift. |
Think of something that is playing on your mind…..
Now tap into yourself, and go to place where you find yourself highly inspired and wanting to make a difference in the world, something that hugely inspires you and brings out that purpose driven side of you!
Stay with this feeling…. How do you now feel?
Notice this sensation and the energy that drives you…
This is the part of you that can jump barriers and create phenomenal changes in your world…. Now anchor this…. and keeping in the feeling of the purposeful you think of the original item that was playing on your mind… Notice what is now different, how has it shifted for you?
The only thing that stops you from creating creating any change or stuck state is that, the change you desire hasn't yet court up with the identity of who you desire to be.
When to take Action

Your thoughts are the coalescences and cohesion of previous vibrational needs and wants. |
|
Instead of attempting to take action on these thoughts: First take a step into what it would feel like if these needs and wants were now fully realized, how do you now feel?
From this place now take the action…
Exercise:
- Think of a need that you have. This thought is the manifestation of a previous need that you had.
- Now imagine that this need is fully meet in your life.
- How do you feel?
- What inspires you about meeting this need?
- Now take action from this place in meeting your need.
Moving Towards or Away?

Remember the most important element of making a decision is that you come from a place of moving towards your dreams versus moving away from what you don't want… ?
|
Every moment brings new choice, new decisions to be made…. through out our day we make decisions and choices some instantantanously like do I want a cup of tea or water?
To those decisions and choices that ripple through our lives in very important ways.
And yet ask most individuals what drives their choices and decisions it will have elements of moving towards or moving away needs.
So what do I mean by moving towards or away?
Here is an example, have you ever in the past thought about changing jobs? I imagine the answer yes, like most of us.
What were the reasons for your change were they based upon being unhappy maybe with your boss, or your role, the type of work etc etc… Or you felt there was great possibilities and opportunities for the change?
When we make decisions from a place of moving away, we are making a victim of ourselves and the decision and choice invariably wont be resolved because of our change,
I regularly offer to to my client never make a decision or choice where possible from a place of moving away, make it from a place of what serves you, gives you greater opportunity, is inspiring, in congruently with who you are.
Honor that you have needs that are not being fullfilled, and know that if the choices that you make are not coming from a place of the victim you will start to change them as your will be coming from a place of congruency with yourself.
This is about making conscious decisions. For example If you made a decision based upon that you were not happy with the work you were doing, then what would have been the ideal vocation for you? What would have meet your values, or purpose? How would you feel in stepping into this new role?
All these questions will help you to create a more meaningful moving towards experience, while making conscious decisions and choices that are healthy and more impactful on others than from a place of being a victim to your own circumstances.
Today notice 3 choices you make and what motivates you, are you moving towards or away?
The Quality of your Relationships

The key to success is simply having one conversation at a time with others that you meet…. Simple right? Remember though the conversation is the relationship, and that the quality of your relationship depends on the quality of your conversations…

Why not nurture and feed your conversations with integrity, passion, abundance and authenticity just like the relationships you are wanting?
Balance as a Leader

I don't know if you were like me, always asking your parents "Why"… Why does this work Mum, Why are we …. Why does this…. and so on… As you can imagine this drove my mum nuts especially as you will learn she is How orientated person… Still today this is my predominant way of filtering my experience and my learning style, to wanting to know why things tick, why they are important, why do we do what we do etc etc… As a philosopher I love to know why, the purpose, and why is it important? |

Why well because its important to me to be continually looking for the ever ceaseless expanding truths. Why? Well I don't Know LOL!
My life of why's is like the analogy of the course of a river…
Firstly as a fast bubbling brook of why's, then as a fast flowing stream of why's, every now and then falling as a waterfall into a deep pool of discovery, over time the why's flowed in to tributories, rivers and more recently flowing into a steady meandering river.
Every now and then I find myself on the bank of the river stomping in my rubber boots in an ox bow lake, asking why's about the meaning of life, the meaning of meaning, curious about what is our reality, universe etc etc… before rejoin the meandering river flow.
Today, the meandering river is more a gentle curiousity as to what is important about anything and everything.
This philospher with in; metaphorically who's beard is now more like Merlins than a cheeky young wizard has been asked many times to "Stop asking why", However I have never stopped, insistently wanting to know why and what is important, after all I am so curious!
Why? I dont know LOL!
My Philosopher is very much apart of who I am and why I am LOL! Its why you are reading my Articles, Why my clients like to work with me… Why I am a provocative cheeky chappy, looking for the truth!
During my life I have meet many Why orientated people and also many whose orientations are others as covered below, and yes the why's get me and I get them, just as your orientation will be understood by those whose predominant style is like yours.
For me though this is an indication that there are many people in the world who exist not knowing why its important to them or why it is they do what they do? This caught my curiousity, how many people in 100 ask why orientated questions, or other questions for that matter?
Research undertaken by Professor David Kolb from Harvard University showed that if we took 100 people there would be:
10 Why orientated people, 40 What goal or objective orientated, 40 How orientated and 10 who ask if I do this what is the benefit.
The research also showed that you have a predominant and secondary, in my case my secondary is what is the goal or objective.
Conscious leadership and so also conscious living I believe is about asking all 4 questions, for example:
- Why is what you choose, or why it is important to you?
- What are the outcomes, objectives and goals etc of what you choose?
- How can you or we make these objectives and goals happen?
- What can we look forward to by acheiving our dreams, outcomes and or goals?
Additionally I believe that when we start to look at the world through these 4 lenses we also bring the human race closer together, as these are the 4 predominant learning styles that humans use to make sense of the world.
All 4 question are valid (and believe it or not important questions), however without asking all 4 we really do not understand fully the choices we make.
- What is your predominant style? What is your secondary?
- Which of the 4 when you get asked do you least want to answer?
- Which are you most attracted to answering?
- Which of the 4 is a Doh for you?
How you answer these will also impact how your engage and create relationships with others, creating a resistence to your ability in acheiving what your dream if it involves them and so either develops you as a leader or not.

Mastery of the Mask of Identity

It could be said that Mastery is not needing to be special, by giving up all our man made identities of self, and therefore the identities associated with our professions, status, roles, creed and heritage. Through letting go we find our way back to our center of peace and wholeness, letting all things we accomplish through us, not by us. Becoming one with our selves in interdependence in our relationship with outself and others, versus the fragments of individual identities that become the mask of dependence and independence. |

One Identity mask is the belief "I am special".
What does it mean to be special? We seek to be special so as to create approval and acceptance from others, so as not to be rejected, or less than, being perceived special enables us to be perceived as doing our best so as to be accepted.
Having people act the way we want them to "proves: to us that we are acceptable and loveable. If they act in any other way to our specialness we feel rejected and unloved.
Here, our feelings of acceptability depend on others behaviour in response to our specialness mask. Since we are not fully accepting of ourselves or and those around us, we need others to treat us special so that we can feel loved. If we are not treated in the special way we want, we feel hurt and heartbroken.
We dont realize that this is a form of emotional blackmail, an attempt to control others, created because we are unable to see through the mask to our true selves and our specialness with out being told we are special.
As we uncover the complex web of this mask and its projection, we finally take the last step towards mastery of the Identity. Uncovering the mask when we give up our guilt and self judgement and valuations that we make up about our selves, which is at the heart of every identity mask.
Take one step today towards letting go of a statements that you say about yourself, that starts with the words "I am xxxxxxxx". for example "I am a professional".
Notice the need to feel complete through the Identity of this statement, and let this go, with compassion for self… step through and notice you are more than the label, the mask of identity, you are you, one and whole, the label is only your need to being accepted, while holding your self small, versus the leader that you are.
